In cases where commercial cellular coverage is poor, or cannot support the services your workflow requires for sustained uplink, low-latency, etc. ESnet's Wireless Edge program  can work with your a variety of ways to support your science.

Planning a field CBRS deployment

1) ESnet's data-only cellular core: if you would like to deploy one or more small-cells, ESnet can enroll these in our web-hosted 4G/5G cellular core.  By doing so, you can save on the costs and effort involved in deploying your own core, you can reduce costs, and you can streamline your data flows since we maintain direct peering between our core in the cloud and the ESnet fiber backbone.  In addition, we can supply you with SIMS using ESnet's shared CBRS Home Network Identifier.

2) CBRS deployment technical support, including Spectrum Allocation Service enrollment, placement and equipment advice, antenna advice, etc. Depending on your workflow, sponsor and situation, we may also be able to directly support your field site setup efforts and/or provide equipment and service.

3) Assist you with obtaining services from a turn-key or other provider of private cellular or MVNO service.  Whether your chose to deploy private or dedicated cellular services via a carrier, an MVNO, through a private system integrator, or on your own, we're here to assist as needed.
