Brocade Configuration Hints

ESnet does not have extensive experience with Brocade hardware, and is always looking to solicit contributions from the community.

The following setting has been shown to help on Brocade MLXe hardware. The default queue size for a MLXe is way too small for large data flows.

Traffic Manager Statistics

To view statistics about an interface (e.g. assume interface of interest is Ethernet 1/1):

show tm statistics ethernet 1/1

Output Queue Depth

To increase the output queue depth to 64M:

SSH@router(config)#qos queue-type 0 max-queue-size 65536
