Science DMZ 101
Science DMZ 101 was a talk given by Eli Dart at the recent Focused Technical Workshop series (hosted by ESnet and Internet2). Dart introduces the "Data Transfer Trifecta" and discusses data transfer nodes (DTNs), network architecture with the Science DMZ, and performance testing and measurement. He also discusses TCP performance issues and why researchers performing data-intensive science should have a Science DMZ. Please see the slides for more information and check out the Focused Technical Workshop website.
